Hey all,

I didn't know if any of you have heard the word yet but we have officially opened up and are the newest company dedicated strictly to the 240sx!

The site is http://www.boostdynamics.com , it is not complete yet but we have lots up there and have lots more coming soon, including our newest shipment of JDM parts due to arrive very shortly!

We are currently running specials on the OBX STB's, the Injen Intake w/ CAE, and even a short time limited offer on the new B&M short shifter which I also posted in the group buys section. I hope you can take the time to check out are site and let me know what you all think.

Thanks,

Sweet, an installer in the midwest. $3500 plus intercooler is a good deal.

Good luck!

Ok, I am going to try and wrap up all of these questions in one post so bare with me

1) Yes we do ship to Canada

2) We do install Blacktop's, just add the addtional fee for the engine to the base Redtop install.

3) I am not for sure about whether or not the parts will fit the UK 200sx, I am pretty sure that it SHOULD, but if there is anybody here that can better answer that please assist me on that one.??..

Thanks for all of your compliments on the site, since we are trying to lean towards mainly installs and JDM parts I like to keep it nice and simple, and I personall despise sites that you can't find what you are looking for quickly and without going through a bunch of hassle. I am still in the middle of updating it constantly and waiting for our first shipment of JDM stuff to come in, so keep on the lookout for that.

If anybody has any specific questions about installs, pricing, or availability of anything feel free to email me at [email protected] anytime.

Thanks for all the good responses guys & gals!

Sorry I didn't chime in with everyone else, but I didn't see the thread. I know you said that with the blacktop SR, just subtract the price of the redtop and add the price of the blacktop, but what would it cost to have other engines installed, like maybe a CA, just do the same thing??

Actually that was 3500 for the engine, less the one week installation, plus 895 for the intercooler.

As long as the install doesn't involve custom fabrication of motor mounts or any special installation it is usually the $1000 install charge, the price of the motor, and the price of shipping.

Yes that's right, the charge for $3500 on the webpage is the engine, shipping, and installation, that price is for the red top S13 SR not including an intercooler.

so 3500 plus 900 for the intercooler get a red top shipped installed and ready to go (after one week for installation).

Good deal if that's correct.

When we set the price for install we tried to keep it as low as possible so that it would be more economical for people to actually have an install done without having to drop just tons of money on their cars. The intercooler doesn't even have to be a 900 dollar aftermarket one, we also offer the sidemount intercooler along with a little bit of a discount on it if you get it with your engine and install.

The install kit doesn't come with all of the electronic goodies and gauges that everybody elses does but in my opinion I would rather not push stuff on people that they aren't too fond of being installed on their car anyway. So far it seems we have been getting a really good response on letting people design their own install the way they want it, hopefully more people will decide to take advantage of it

I don't mean to be rude but if you by any chance were referring back to my my offer to help you w/ your website then i'd just like to say my intentions were to only help improve your site and not completely revamp it. Because from a technical standpoint your site is ametuer because it won't show up properly on all browsers and and the over all navigation style is pretty poor. I'm only saying this because you never directly replied to my post and instead only went on to say how you despise cluttered websites or some crap. Sorry if i've come off a bit strong but i take my work seriously.

Easy there... I actually didn't even aim any of my response towards yours, forgot to include it in there, my response was aimed at how people were commenting and praising that it was easy to navigate and such, I didn't say that the site was perfect by any means and if you knew how long I spent developing it you would know why

Right now it is just in the trial stage and it probably will end up getting revamped soon, so actually yes I wouldn't mind discussing a few ideas with ya, drop me an email at [email protected] soon as ya cool down

Boostdynamics,

I know you said you don't want to push products onto your customres, but an exhaust temp, a/f ratio, and boost gauge are good items to have. Maybe would your company think of putting a gauge kit?

I'd buy it if I had the option. I mean, if I'm droping almost $5K on a new motor (come to think of it, it includes trany as well, right?) the gauges would be worth it.

But that's just my $0.02.

Hey, this is just a recommendation, but maybe you should explain somewhere exactally what your installs include.

Things to mention would be, fuel pump upgrade, BOV, boost gauge, downpipe, air filter, AC, tach (for SOHC), and I'm sure there's some other stuff.

Duffman,

The sr engine swap is an engines and transmition swap. It isn't an aftermarket part. The engine is how it was in silvia's a believe or the stock 240's in japan. I don't know, but if you look up stats on the SR20DET s13 or s14 or s15 engine you should get your answers.

We of course have a list of parts that are both optional and recommended when we are talking to someone about doing a swap and a gauge kit is on there, we aren't going to put an engine in someones car just so they can blow it up without knowing any better, just like them to have the option of *picking* what parts they want and what they don't want.. you know what I mean?

The engine install is exactly how it's stated on our website, a complete SR20DET engine install, which is just the stock SR & install with no aftermarket parts.

Nice site man. Especially considering its new.
From what i can tell (i'm no expert), but it looks like you've got alot of high quality parts and very resonable prices. I wish you well, and not too far down the road I'll definately bring my business your way!

Boost,

I totally support your site. But here maybe a personal opinion question for you. I have a low milage KA24DE 91, I have always thought that an NSport kit is the way to go. Or do you think I'd be happier with a sr swap.

Reliability is huge for me, and I'm not planning on boosting past 9psi without a built up bottom end.

What do you think?

I guess I should quickly introduce myself. I am the other half of Boost Dynamics! LOL I have a SR powered 240 but I do really like KA turbo's. If you have a good lower milage KA I think it makes just as much sense to turbo it as doing a SR swap. Now I am not a KA expert as most of my experiance on these cars was from when I lived in Japan :-) but I think the max boost level is below 9 PSI on stock internals for the KA. As far as reliablity, if you are looking for 9 PSI I think the SR is the way to go but a KA with the max safe boost (may not be 9 PSI) would also be very reliable. The argument for the SR vs. KA has raged for awhile now and both side have valid points and I think I want one of each!!!!! LOL

Alan
