![]() Hi all, My name is Riley Stair. I have been pouring over my 260z since this time last year, and it has finally made its way out of the darkness and onto the pages of StanceWorks. I am thrilled to share all of my hard work and effort I put into this car to make it into the creation I painted in my head in the very beginning.
I’m sure the car isn’t for everyone, but all comments are welcome! I hope you guys enjoy the story and the photos by Mike Burroughs. Thanks for looking, and enjoy! -Riley http://www.stanceworks.com/2015/04/t...4-datsun-260z/ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think it's having an identity crisis. Not sure if drift car, time attack, or just flushtastic? It definitely has all the currently trendy bits. You did do a nice clean job whatever it is though!

Saw this on Stanceworks yesterday and wondered if the owner was on here. You got a sweet car, man. Good job.
What a suspicious question. I hope that car is garage kept...

Also "195/55/15s wrapping 8.5” wide wheels in the front and 205/50/15s wrapping 10s" with LSX torque ![]() But as mentioned, it's built to do burn-outs, so this will absolutely satisfy it's one purpose! Great Show car build though! Looks very nice and good build! |

I am not sure what you're talking about exactly on the front door bars and the a pillar being offset, but they are nascar "style" door bars and in the very cramped interior of the car, are actually safer than a traditional door bar because it gives the driver a little bit more room before any side intrusion contacts he/she given an impact All of that being said thank you very much for the compliment on the build, the wheels and tires could be much wider, but for right now, I don't want to kill wide, expensive hard to find tires out back, so 205's suit my wants right now ![]() |

I see what you are saying about the rear, but the issue I am having is all the "bars" are not tied into a joint.
Below are the pictures of your "NASCAR Style" bars Below are pictures of your "cross brace" ![]() Below are pictures of no offset joints ![]() Below are pictures of tying all bars into "joints" and what I mean by your setup being offset (which also goes back to the Nascar Style bars and the fact that the support braces do not tie into a joint for maximum load support) ![]() Below are pictures of no offset bars for Nascar Bars ![]() I am no cage builder, so I could very well be wrong. But being an (Aerospace) engineer, the way the loads are be distrubuted just doesn't seem correct. |
