330mm oem s14 steering wheel.

Im trying to take a oem s14 wheel and make the diameter into like a 330-350mm wheel. Any ideas on how to go about this? Also do you think that the smaller diameter would f@ck with the airbag deployment? Never seen this done so if anyone has done it advice would be appreciated.

Send a message via AIM to brndck
step one: take stock wheel
step two: put stock wheel back on car
step three: sell car and buy a bus pass

better yet, call Nissan and ask them pretty please if they'll make you one.

Despite his sarcasm, the truth is, he's right. There's no way to modify a stock steering wheel to adjust it's overall diameter. Not unless your good with a welder and a sewing machine but then you would literally be making your own steering wheel from scratch.

I haven't seen any options in the Nissan world that allow you to keep the factory airbag. There's a company called DAMD that makes aftermarket Subaru steering wheels that keep the factory style (including airbag, audio and cruise control features) but have smaller diameters, different materials and D shaped flat bottoms. They aren't cheap (~$500) but maybe something like that exists for S14's.

A short-bus pass is more like it...
Air bags going off is like slamming your face into concrete + gas burns. No thanks
