Another Wheel Fitment Thread
Greetings Zilvia Crew,
First, I have read the above stickied suspension and Offset threads, and I did a fair bit of searching. My vehicle is a 91 240sx, that has the following suspension modifications. Front: KYB Shocks, RSR Race Springs, SPC Tension Rods, ISR Sway Bar, Moog End Links and Moog Ball Joints, New Wheel bearings, Prothane Bushing Kit, etc. Rear: Prothane bushing kit, New Ball joints, KYB Shocks, RSR Down Springs, Etc (You get the picture) From my reading it seems a set of RUCA would be appreciated as the car is lowered, second my buddy is selling off his XXR 527's. The rears are 17x9.75 + 25, his fronts i'm unclear on but apparently wont fit stock suspension. Two questions spur from this I haven't seen clear information on. 1. With a minimal drop of , Ride Height - F: -1.4, Ride Height - R: -1.2 should I invest in a set of RUCA's to maintain a good geometry suspension? 2. Considering the fact I dont have coils , and im not interested in buying a set if at all possible, what size wheel can I run safely up front? I'd like to avoid spacers and if possible i'd like to run a 17x something wheel. I am prepared to roll my fenders. Thanks for the help. |

I was recommending for fronts
the problem with this question is that it has infinite variables you can fit an 11" wide wheel in front...... if you wanna run 15* of negative camber or you can run a 17x8 +35 but you won't have "fitment" like the cool kids are after these days there are soooooooooo many variables to the equation, and at the risk of sounding like a dick, the wheel fitment threads on here have just about every single thing covered already. |

No, Thank you. I have been reading most of the morning and afternoon on this. I come from an AE86 background and simply put, far fewer options and offsets are really run on those vehicles.
I dont plan to drift, I just want a good fitting wheel that wont rub\scrape etc without moving to coils. I'll take your recommendation and try to find someone with a wheel the same size to test fit. Again, Thank you. |

Ruca are to get alignment back in spec when the stock eccentric bolts r maxed out. They don't change suspension geometry.I'd say go get a alignment and see where it puts u. I doubt u need ruca with that baby(little/not much)drop. The wheel fittment whore thread or the max tread thread is your friend. There is a lot that can be learned from them. Wheel fittment is a opinion. What I think looks good the next might think is gross. That being said 17x9 +22 is sunk as funk. Tire size has lot to do with fittment. To change suspension geometry thing like sub frame riser and drop knockles and roll center kits r needed.

Thanks man.
I"ve been looking through those threads and so many different opinions and recommendations are suggested. I'll keep looking for the right wheel size\tire size for what I want. I'll hold off on the RUCA until I get an alignment, its an easy enough install. |
