turbo coolant line

the turbo coolant line that runs from the back of the motor is cut off and bent and has some type of glue to keep it from leaking. Is this line really necessary to have. any info would be appreiciated.

the line running from the back of the motor that turns into a banjo fitting that connects to the turbo...thats the coolant feed, that is very much necessary if your running stock turbo, the guy who had your motor might have been running with turbo that was only oil cooled

its a s13 redtop. i tryed looking where it goes too but i cant seem to find it. I might be blind or something...im pretty sure its the coolant line from the back of the motor. Its a hard coolant line and then theres a smaller hard line that runs towards the turbo but its cut off and sealed off.

you do NOT have to have it. the turbo will work fine without it plug the return line on the block and the holes on the turbo.

now for those that are saying you have to have it I say its there for he longevity of the turbo it is NOT essential. there are plenty of turbos running only oil cooled.

i know many turbos just run oil, but i have read many times that if it is the stock t25/t28, they need coolant lines.

and Im saying they dont NEED to the turbo will function just fine without them. Hence me saying they are NOT ESSENTIAL. YES its RECOMENDED that you run them for the longevity of the turbo but they are in NO WAY necesary for the turbo to operate correctly.

dont make me repeat myself again.

most japanese tuners eliminate that line for simplicity's sake. watercooling will make the turbo last a bit longer, but since turbos are easily replaceable and easy to come by here, they don't worry about it.
Just dump them and get a turbo timer.

No, it's 'way to lock a thread for too many useless replies after resurrection'.
