Everytime I am in reverse and turning hard and then hit my brakes, it makes this loud thud. It does it everytime i back into a parking spot. Anyone know what it could be? I am thinking it is my calipers but they look alright. What about my differential. Could it be going out and causing this noise?

my car will make a thunk from the rear from time to time. i've been told it's just a noisy differential. it happens most often when i am backing up, shift to first and start moving foward without coming to a complete stop.

yeah my hatch's diff was so hella noisy. My coupe isn't much better.
