well, last time i had this problem, i changed the distributor cap and rotor, and then the car worked fine.  But the thing is, I also changed the spark plug wires and spark plugs.  So im not sure which one was the original problem.  Im probably gonna change them all again, but which one of these will go bad and still allow u to drive normally, and not feel much of a power difference, im thinking it was the distributor cap and rotor.
And, if it is the distributor cap and rotor, what could have caused that?  Was it because of something electrical, cause i had some mechs put in power door, with power windows, and before it was regular roll ups.  or was it becuase i  put in bosch platinum plus 4?  do u think that could have been the source of my problem?
damn, sorry about the extensity of the quesitn but i just wanted to knowck out any questions that might be brought up because of lack of info, so there u have it, please help <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

ok, to make it simpler, what makes a distributor cap and rotor go bad?

Time does... when was the last time you replaced them? It shouldn't be the distributor cap or rotor if it hasn't been long.
