![]() The top valve of my vacuum switch solenoid broke on my s13 Ka24e. This is located behide the head of the motor. There are two of these solenoids. This is the left one when looking at the motor. Does anyone know if I can use the Ka24de solenoid or if there another one I can use? Or if i can just block the hole on the top and put a T on the front vacuum line?

You should be able to use any vacuum solenoid with the same connector shape. I think the part number only varies because of the color code which is supposed to match the connector (since the SCV and EGR VSV are right next to each other, to prevent mixups). But functionally it shouldn't matter.
You can't just tee the line and have it work, you'll end up with the EGR open constantly, those ports aren't connected internally unless the valve is on (open): ![]() |
