not all SE came w/ hicas, it's an option. 400lbs? i don't know, i'll guess like 100? don't count on me... but isn't it just an extra computer chip, and a couple more metal studs?

No way man.. Hicas cant add more then like 60lbs.. If the car is HICAS then its ABS too so that adds weight. And a SE defiently doesnt mean HICAS...

I've owned two SEs, neither with HICAS. HICAS is an option ONLY on the 91-93 models, and not a common one at that.

i think HICAS is rear steering. in hard cornering, the rear wheels will turn and allow you to turn faster. i dunno if thats right, but from what ive told thats what it is. i think its computer controlled where as the 2nd gen rx7 has a similar system but uses some rubber bushings. they flex and let the wheels turn instead. i think the skyline, and 300zx have this Hicas system too. do any other cars have a rear wheel steering system?

yup, it's essentially four wheel steering, but as was stated earlier, it's computer controlled and fairly complex.

Most people either love it or hate it, and it definately takes a bit of getting used to if you've never driven a car with hi-cas before. From what most people say, it feels a bit like the car is breaking loose on the reer, but it's actually just the rear wheel steering kicking in.
