Unhappy SOHC to DOHC swap problems

I've found and followed the direction on this site for the dohc swap. putting a 92 KA24DE into a 89 coupe. when i got to the point where I'm connecting the engine harness to the frame harness, i'm running into problems. the instructions said to just line up all the wires by their colors, well they don't match.
on the engine harness side i have green/black and green/yellow left over, on the frame harness side i have purple, grey, lime, red/green, red/yellow, grey/blue
what connects to what? on the engine side theres 2 wires without a match and the frame side has 6 extra wires that don't match
I was told by someone to leave these disconnected and it would run but things like the temp gauge won't work, thats unacceptable as this is for a customer.

what to do?

by the way i've searched on here and i keep getting no matches found when looking for this info

i recently did a 93 KADE into a 90. i took the DE engine wiring harness and put it into the 89 just plugged everything in. only issue i came across is the small conector right next to the ECM. the wires are in different places. I got the cheater sheet that I used around here somewhere. Ill look for it and find it.

good luck.
