Ok tonight i had enough of all the clanking and rattleing of my heat sheilds on my exhaust.I took all of them off except for the cat and manifold sheild off.Is this ok or am i going to have problems soon.Like over heating in the inside of the car or buning my mats/carpet up.Please help.

I had the one by the secondary cat off for a while and never had any problems.
Should be OK I'd think.
Could always put em back on it you have a problem.

Yeah, i have one that resonates at 3800 rpm and drives me mad! Anyone know WHICH heat shield is doing this?? It's not the one over the exhaust manifold 'cause that was removed a year ago!

Hey mrdirty just take off the sheilds from the 2nd cat back but don't take off the cat sheild.I had my sheild fixed before and now it has happened again and they were so rusty that when i tried to tighten them back the screws just broke.
