![]() i know you guys hate these posts, but here goes.
![]() its the little U shaped bracket that attaches to the clutch pedal to engague the clutch. there is a little pin that goes through the hole there-through the pedal and then through the other side of the bracket. as you can se it got all bent to hell somehow and the pin wont stay in. i wanna get a new one but i'm not sure how to explain what it is. or if anyone has one they wanna give me....... just let me know. thanks |

It's part of the clutch master cylinder. They have them at your auto parts store for like 20 dollars.

You need the pin?
Use a paper clip!! If you need the rod that joins the U adjuster to the pedal, use a screw, 4 washers and some patience I have a paper clip in mine, works fine since 4 years ago Now, if you bent the U shaped part, you mey need to get another one, I am quite sure that is a common nissan part, check the junkyards for it or try to rebend it back and close the U a little more. |

no i have the pin, i tried the paperclip in the pin, but the bracket bent a little more and the pin just poped back out. i'm just gonna put a bolt and a nut through it for now, but i thought bending it alot would weaken it some so i'm just gonna buy a new one.

that u piece is actually different between different nissans, when I put my maxima slave cylinder on (only difference is the u-flange and I needed to get back on the road that night) thats what I had to change.

you might want to change that part cuz it'll break on you, like mine did.
instead of buying another weak piece of eom shit consider fabricating one, thats what I did. I used 1/4" u shaped steel to make mine. It's twice as thick as the oem piece and cuz of that it'll never break or bend now. It's really strong and sturdy, see on your eom piece you can bend it with your hand but on this piece it wont flex not even a bit..
