I just cant win, another prob (clutch)

ok last night i bled the clutch, it was tight, but anyway the pedal doesnt come all the way back, theres a lil play and i dunno y, and i cant move the fork back closer to the pedal any, cause its only got like 4 threds left.
it comes back on its own like it should but there is like half an inch that it could come back more. so i thought it would be ok, till i took her for a test drive. after a few mins of driving the presure went away, till i stoped and pumped the clutch, and pulled it all the way back, when i pumped. i am thinkin this has somethin to do with it losing presure, but if i only got 4 threads left? i dunno someone please help, i have run outa things to do, i double checked and triple checked all the lines and fittings and there is no leaks, also its a brand new slave cylinder and clutch mc, what do i do next? i hope someone can help out thanx
sil 80 foreva: i dunno what to do

you definitely have a leak somewhere. When you bleed the reservior and slave cylinder do you get a foamy looking brake fluid, or is it straight clear no bubble fluid? Also, where did you get the master cylinder from?

I know because your pedal falls dead, that it's a fluid problem, you just have to figure out where it's not holding pressure.

the fluid is not foamy it looks like it does in the bottle when it comes out, i am goin to try and remove the dampner box and see if that helps, but i am still lost on the fact that the pedal has that 1/2 inch play in it
