JDM guages reading MPH

I might just suck at searching, but not too long ago, two months tops someone on here had a write-up on how to make a JDM cluster read in MPH on the Kph numbers. something involving soldering specific points together on the back panel 1-9 or something along those lines. Anyone know who it was or have a link to the post?

That looks like it'd work, but the one I recall was a little simpler... maybe I'm thinking of something else, but does anyone else have any idea?

how does it get easier than that? solder in a resistor and adjust the pot for exact calibration

Here is the easiest way. Buy this Speedo convertor/ speed limit cut and take pics of it so I can copy it and give it to everyone for $5-10. I converted my speedo with the resistor method and even with adjusting the pots its still a bit off.

Edit: Converting the gauge to miles also changes the odometer to miles, so set the odometer accordingly.

Okay, I re-read it and realized I just have to install the little resistor already picked it up and am in the process of soldering. I was just wondering if you use the JDM speed sensor in the tranny, or the USDM one?

USDM everything, just a JDM cluster.. I did it to mine.. I thought it would be complicated.. but I used a cheap ebay digital multimeter for the readings to adjust... I got white face guage overlays... I love it.

By the way, stock ka will hit 140 ungoverned =D

You could always order a LS Auto speedo that does 180mph or just grab a US speedo and swap it out. Easiest way.

Hypertek.. and how much road did you have to use to find that out??
