Window motor is dead, the clicking sound you hear is the window amp trying to signal it.

It gave me no indication that it was going to go out! It would always go up and down quickly like the motor was strong? Is anyone else sure about the motor being dead? I thought it goes up and down real slow before it dies???

Ok it's now fixed!! all I had to do was bang a little right above the window switch area where the cloth strip is and it started to work. So for now I will just give it a little bang if it stops working. But if anyone knows why I had to bang on it to get it to work let me know.

Okay so I know EXACTLY what your problem is here. I had the exact same problem with my 240. It's a little relay box just underneath the interior door handle. If you take off your paneling inside the door, you will see this box that screws into the door and is connected to the power window buttons. Someone told me it was probably some form of bad, aged contact points within the box itself. My window was like yours, either it worked or it didn't, it wasn't weak or slow. And it also made a clicking noise when it wasn't working. Take off the box/relay and get the part number off of it, and go to a Nissan dealer to get another one. I did that for mine and I have never had a problem with it since (a year ago). The part should cost you around $90, and you may have to order it. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
