KA Exhaust question ( yes I searched!!!)

Is there a reason that the Megan exhaust for the 97-98 won't fit the 95-96 car? Everyone else that makes an exhaust for 240's makes it the same for 95-98. I called the company ( Megan ) and asked tham and the guy that answered didn't know why they seperated it like that and didn't know if the 95-98 type would fit on the 95-96. Little help here, the exhaust I want is a bit smaller in diameter than i thought ( the megan type 2 is about 2.75" ) but the N-1 style ( not sure that the right way to desricbe it but oh well ) is a straight exit not angled like I want it. Confusion galore, can anyone clarify?

Mechanically, EVERY S14 is identical. Same exhaust hangers, same exhaust, same everything.

I think they never tested what fits what, or are morons.

If it fits a '95-96, it'll fit a '97-98 just fine.

So I did a little research and found out some interesting things. After searching for pics of a 95-96 with the exhaust ( the one they say is made for those years ) and not finding any, I went back to thier site to search for customer cars or project cars. Very first page BANG there is a picture of a 95 or 96 with the 97-98 exhaust on it! And the dude that I talked to yesterday couldn't answer my question , I hate when they don't hire genuine car people to work at performance parts shops. Anyway, I discovered what appears to be the answer to my own question which is yes, the Megan exhaust that is designated for the 97-98 model will fit the 95-96 model, yeh ha
