Replacing differential seals.

I just bought a vlsd from a hicas. One of the side output shafts is leaking slowly, determined by a little buildup of oil on that shaft/side of the housing.

I figure while its out i better go ahead and replace everything, but i have never done this before. I figure for the front shaft, you just take the nut off, and have it pressed out evenly on all sides?

What about the side shafts? Is there something inside the differential that i need to unclip for them to slide out? And when i do, what should i be watching for to make sure i dont mess it up too much?

And then when they are all out, are the seals pretty straight forward to install?

thanks for the help

The side seals can be popped out with a flat head. To install the seal, place the old seal on top of the new seal, and tap it in with a hammer, until the surface is flush with the side of the diff.
