ok, so i have a feeling that by next season my restop tranny is gonna need a rebuild, but of course i dont want to get a simply replacement stock rebuild, i am looking for a stronger built tranny. Is there anyone in the US that has experience with these tranny's, and what kind of stuff are you guys doing to achieve stronger drivetrains.

There is several places that make gear set, but they run for 2500+. Get a 300zxtt tranny and make an adapter, plate. holds more then the built tranny ever would plus its 1000$ for the tranny, DS, and adapter plate.

Yes my friend did this after blowing 5 sr trannys in a month. On here his name is Silviadrftr, maybe he posted something about it on zilvia. Also check TurboDave.com may they post pics of it there aswell.

so what kind of clutch does he use? a 300ZX one or a Sr20 one? and flywheel?

I belive 300zx disk, sr pressure plate and flywheel, I can see. As well as see how much they can make you the whole set up. If you serious about upgrading trannys let me know, If your just wondering, the sr tranny will do you just fine.

Get an OS Giken gearset and an OS Giken main shaft.
