I was going along one hot summer day with me sunroof open, while I let the A/C cool down. Once it did I was going to close the sunroof and it wouldn't close. One side would start to move but the other side just stayed put. I took it to a local glass shop that specializes in sunroofs. I showed the problem to he guy and he said right away that it's a broken cable. So I was like cool that won't be much to fix. But, oh was I wrong. He calls Nissan to get the part and Nissan says that they don't sell just the cable, I would have to get a whole new rack that the sunroof sits on <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

So if I get my sunroof fixed by ordering parts from Nissan it's going to be $800!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'> . And that's just the part, not to mention the labor! Anyway that was at the end of last summer, now that summer is around the corner, I want my sunroof back. I'm definitly NOT paying $800 for a sunroof.

Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, if you're wondering how I got my sunroof closed, I had to hold the bottom down while pulling the sunroof closed, which was a major pain BTW.

Check in the junk yard. You'll probably be able to get one. Hope it works out for you. $800 is outrageous. You might as well have your car modded to be a convertible for that much.
