Where is the best place to buy the s13 sr redtop, and those of you who have done it, where did you buy it from?

Heavythrottle.com is the only place I can find. Are their engines rebuilt, have a certain # of miles, or what? Are they reliable? And do they give you the harness and everything w/ the engine? Also wondering if it's a clip or just torn out.

I just don't want to go through all the time and money to do this to find out my engine had bad compression or high miles or doesn't run altogether. Thanks.

Depends where you are located if you are in SoCal Motorex now offers the installation of the SR20DET motors that they bring in..

If you are worried about who you are giving your money to then I would say go there. I think they charge $1500 for the installation.

Not anymore. I understand the price is now $2400 and they are backordered. The $1500 deal was for a high mileage clip, almost a year ago, to the editors of SCC... I don't think any of us are getting that deal today.

Otherwise, the list above all sounds good to me.
