Is this a problem with my block?

These are pics from around the water pump area on the block. The second pic is if you're looking from the left handside of where the water pump would mount. I found this today when I was taking all the sealant off, I have no idea what could have happened.

Looks like there was a hairline crack that chipped off a little bit. Why did you pull the water pump anyways? Is this on your Spec V? If you pulled it off for a coolant leak this is your problem and it will be an expensive one to fix.

No, its an SR20DET redtop block for a 240. The guy I bought it from said he had no problems when he was running it. He also said he didnt have any coolant leaks.

There was a problem with the second picture, its fixed now.

Thats fine, thats the way they look, my S14 SR20 also looks like its cracked off there, as are every one of the 30-40 SR blocks ive worked on.

No problems, throw your pump on and go
