help with z32 master cylinder

i recently bought z32 brakes with master cylinder. only problem is i need the little fitting from the stock m/c so it'll connect with my 240 brake lines.

that thing is what im talking about.

i have a stock m/c on my car right now, but no cutter wheel to cut through my m/c. i was wondering if theres anyone that can help me, im willing to buy the little fitting thing from someone, or is there anyone around socal that can maybe come down and bring their cutter tool to come help me when i do swap? any help would be appreciated. or maybe ill buy my own cutter tool... anyone know how much a tool goes for and which is the best to go with as far as price and reliablilty goes. i know some friends who tried to help but said their tools werent strong enough to cut through it. please help, thanks

im having trouble with this. Its harder than I expected... AND the MC in that pic aint from a s13... I already sliced into the fitting and havent begun my 2nd or 3rd tries. Already broke one cutting disc too [but thats cuz i overtightened it to the dowel thing]... SAFETY GOGGLES GOGGLES GOGGLES!

Yeh... also heard some Nabco MCs already have the fitting, but I bought #46010-30P22 Manufacture date 7/89 – 7/90 (17/16" TT Nabco)
from Kragen and it didnt have the fitting...

Just so you know before u decide to cut ur stock MC, not all of them have the removable type flare fittings....

p.s. I have TOKICO flare fittings they will press in firm on a TOKICKO MC but on a NABCO MC they drop right in becasue the smaller but it will still do the job and will not leak, I know becasue I done this myself.

I did my z32 conversion and went to a brake specialist here in Long Beach(forgot where of course) and they had every size flare fitting imaginable. Not one of the major named brake companies either, but a true specialist. It was one of the smallest ones they had, but they had it.
Check your phone book for some, then call and see if they sell the the flare fittings. If they know what your talking about, chances are they'll have what you need.

Good luck, it is WELL worth it!! Especially with steel braided lines.

or if you get a 1" MC of a NA (91 i belive) 300zx it already has all the adapters cast into it and you don't have to cut that out. i just did mine yesterday and found out that all the adapters i need are already cast into the thing.

in short, take off that allen bolt and check to see it there is a fitting behind it before hacking up your 240sx MC

dude thats so much easier... could u look at the MC u have, and post up the part number? Its on the front end of the MC... just the last 5 digits.

from the Import Nut site, im assuming you must have one of these?
46010-45P00 Manufacture date 9/91 – 9/93 (1" NA TT Tokico)
46010-45P00 Manufacture date 2/91 – 9/91 (1" NA & TT Tokico)
46010-45P20 Manufacture date 9/91 – 9/93 (1" NA & TT Nabco)
46010-45P20 Manufacture date 9/93 – Up (1" NA & TT Nabco)

Ill get pics of the destroyed MC... cuz it looks a lot easier for s14 guys with the fittings all on the end. S13 ones are in the middle harder to access...

I just sold this Z32 1" BMC to a friend I'll get the part number from it:

I can almost bet money it was the "45P20" BMC becasue it was from a 91 Z32 NA with aluminum calipers.

icic... heres pics of my butchered s13 MC

The bottom most hole is the only one I really needed to drill, but the other 2 were so I could see stuff better. Its NOT straight through. There was barely a straight path to that middle fitting.

*I coudlnt choose the fitting on the end cuz I sliced it a bit :/

lol.............I got mad and took a 50lbs dumbell to the BMC and split it apart until I could see the lil hole where the flare jet was hidden then I put the small piece in a vice and drilled out the lil hole larger then used a punch to get it out...lol took about 20 minutes still....

hahahaha caveman style. AWESOME. I thot of cutting it a bit and just ripping it in 2... but opted to try the drill first.

SO, now wuts the best way to press it in? Mines a NABCO fitting goin into a NABCO z32 MC. I dont have a 1/32 drill bit to use as an alignment tool... no taps either.

1986 Z31 Non Turbo 15/16 Master Cylinder or 1986 200sx 15/16 Master Cylinder. Both have he 3.92 kPa (569 psi) Split point that you are looking for in order to retain the factory pedal feel.

S14 Silvia K's and S15 Spec R's came factory with 30mm Iron Front Calipers (like the z32's) and retained the same factory rear calipers as the USDM S14 240sx. They also had a 15/16 Master Cylinder with a 3.92 kPa(569 psi) Split point.

Do Ensure however that you get good pads for yoursetup as well, such as Carbotech BobCat pads.

FYI, I think you can get those little fittings out of the clutch dampener box that most people ditch anyhow.

I know that with my Full Z32 brake setup and stock S13 7/8" BMC the rears lock up to easily, thats the only part I dislike other than that I love the clamping force the 7/8" BMC provides, actually I wouldn;t mind a lil bit less so im probably gonna upgrade to 15/16" BMC.

IMHO im sick of the 569psi split point it feels to dangerous especially at higher speeds and or freeway speeds, im also using the stock 7/8" BMC with the 569psi split point which the clamping force is nice but the split point is seems wrong and I think is casuing my rears to lock up easily I think i'll upgrade to the 15/16" BMC so it wont be so grabby, I think I need to find a 15/16" BMC with the lower split point of the 300ZX so less rear brake pressure is applied. Anyone experience what im talking about??

That's cause they changed their software and messed up all the old links. Here's the new URL for the same thread:

hahaha I just realized the guy that started this thread sold his Z32 brake setup to me a month ago I didn't put the flange in there, because when I test fitted everything, the stock hardline end had enough threads to bottom out without the flange in there - I just teflon taped it and there hasn't been any leaking air or brake fluid.

Note: I have the flanges on the rear fitting and the other front, its just the line that goes to the front right brake.

Also, to Charlie2020, your rear brake lockup problem will get better with the Z32 MC, I have stock rear brakes with the Z32 MC and the fronts lock up first

so is there any place to get this fitting? I had z32 7/8 I beleive on my s14 abs and then when I switched to the new chassis I dont have the old m/c to pull the fitting out of and the stock s13 m/c I got didnt have a pressed in fitting. Got an adapter that is flared but it doesnt bottom out and I had to use permatex and I think it is causing problems with my brakes. Going to change the brake booster and fix the lines the pedal is super stiff like no power brakes.
