alright im gettin 17x8.5's..and i want some good stretch.but im worried that 115 would be to small?any opinions?

I am sure you ment 215s. No not too small. It will be stretched just enough to be considered a "good stretch" .

215 will be pretty good for ya.

A 225 on a 8.5'' will have minimal stretch but is also much easier to find than 215.

215/45 will have a pretty short sidewall and i think should stretch nicely.
