Yup! it's a shitty time for rap. I am now having to broaden my horizens because I don't like hardly anything nowadays. I used to go to Best Buy and spend an hour trying to decide which CD I wanted to get cause there were so many. Now, I can't think of any new CD I don't have that I would like to pick up. I would still like to pick up all the older stuff i didn't get back in the day.

kanye can't spit complexly. his flow is only good for SOUNDING good, because it goes with the beat. so pretty much, his flow is PART of the beat.
and i'll agree, his beats are fire, and his music sounds great, but there's no lyrical skill involved.

Kanye said it himself that he is not that type of performer and he admits he's not a freestyle type of rapper. He said he wants to put emphasis on his lyrics and beats rather than how well he can "spit lyrics". (God I hate it when people use spit like that, not attacking you, just saying in general). Personally, I care more about what's being said than how well it was delivered.

This south rap shouldn't even be considered rap.
