Major Upgrade in Progress! - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

The site was disabled the later part of today for the start of a major upgrade and reconstruction. I finished the first part of the process and will continue to work on the site as time permits. Expect Zilvia.net to have a new layout very soon. We are converting to a Content Management System that will allow us to easily maintain the website and have everything integrated. The days to follow we will implement the CMS and convert the webs content into that system.

Today I upgraded to vBulletin 3.5 as well as converted the Member Rides section to work with vB 3.5.

If you see anything that doesn’t look right or isn’t working please inform me ASAP! Thanks!

Quick Reply is not working for me. Clicking on a quick reply Icon doesn't open up the quick reply box. Stays grayed out.

You have to click the little button next to quote first on the last post in the thread.. then it works.

Edit posts is different... AIM contact is in post info...

Can't use the insert pic/email/link/smilies buttons
but then again I am using Mozilla Firefox.

It works, it’s just grayed out.

You must click on the quick reply for this message that is on the lower right of the users post you want to reply too. The image looks like the one below. This makes more since so now it will know what post you are replying to and will quote their post if you choose too.

Edit posts is part of the new system where it wont require you do go to a new page to edit your post. This is a great benefit to the server and the user.

The Rep System seems to have a bug or two. When I click the scales to Rep someone, it no longer opens a secondary small window. Instead it loads a completely new page. Anyone else experience this?

Im not sure how the old rep system worked so I am unsure as to what secondary window this would be.

It seems to be working, maybe its just differnt than before. I will look into the settings to see if I can adjust anything.

The previous setup was to open a small pop-up and leave the current page alone. Once the rep was entered, the popup closed itself returning you to the original page.
I was unable to find any option for that just now (but I only spent a minute looking).

I like that we have a censored word that nobody will ever use.

Is the layout going to be simliar to that on 240SXforums? I say this because they already have the huge SN names and editing post feature.

Anyways, can't wait to see the final product.

It will be simular to my other site http://www.boostaholic.org

It will start to look simple much like Boostaholic.org is since its new. We will be working to make the overall feel of Zilvia very apealing.

anyone else notice it is running slow as shit. please say that it isn't going to take all day to load a page like 240sxforums did. i refuse to go to that place because with zilvia it takes.5seconds to open up a page or post and with them it took about 1 min.

WeST - The other site does look clean and simple. Will you tie Zilvia to that site in some kind of way? i.e. redirect link?

Tenchuu - I have no issues when I check out 240sxforums...maybe its your ISP or browser?
