Well, since I'm turning 21 this Thursday, I would like to know some of the hardest hitting alchohol/liquor you guys have tried. I know of Everclear, Absinthe, and Bacardi 151 (my personal fave). I'm going to buy some and invite some friends over and, well yea.

Also, what cocktails or shot mixes do you guys like the best?

I feel it's not really the alcohol per shot but more how good it tastes. It's more enjoyable to drink twice as much as something you like than something that tastes like crap. I think Highest Proof is just macho BS.

Right on. Just drink more of something that's actually good....as in good enough that it doesn't need to be 'mixed'.

I like whiskeys but I've been told recently that "...it's for old guys". In any case, if it were my b-day, I'd like to snuggle up to a scottish 20 year old.

You sir have superior taste in beverage. Any quality single malt scotch 12 years minimum is the good life. I take mine "neat" ( a splash of filtered water )

..oh, that made me think of one thing that is good and isn't too snooty. Navan Vanilla Cognac. It seems a little gimmicky (and I guess it is) but it's really good in a sophisticated way. Warm your glass in some hot water, pour, swirl, enjoy. It's nice. Women like it too. Knowing what I know now, I'd grab some for my 21st b-day party for no other reason than to increase my chances of talking to a real-live-girl. Getting shit-faced on grampys 'shine won't help with that. ...I know cuz that's what I did.

I wouldn't exactly call Hypnotiq a hard hitting drink, lol. Tastes good though.

My favorites are Jose Cuervo GOLD, 151, Grey Goose with Red Bull, and Bacardi Superior.

It taste like liquorice...not really hard hitting...well to me atleast.


If you can..try 99 Banana. 99% proof and smells like Banana. They have other flavors like cherry and apple.

Dude I can't believe you like 99 Bananas... that shit is NASTY!! We had a bottle of that last year and no matter what you mixed it with, it overpowered it every time. It tastes like those banana Runts (the little candies), but super powerful taste... not very alcohol-ish. I hear the 99 Apples is really good though. Jaeger is pretty damn good, but some people dont like the taste of licorice (sp?). Captain Mo's always does the trick, no need for a chaser, just down it. Try some Stoli vodka, shits pretty good.

151 is 180proof and 75%. Everclear is 180proof and 95%. I want to try Absinthe.

Becareful when you mix drinks with Red Bull. You don't "feel" the alchohol when you do this...and you drink up until your really fucked.

You're way off here. 151 is actually 151 proof (isn't that silly!), and everclear (pure grain alcohol) in california is 180 proof which makes it 90% alc. Some states sell 190 proof everclear, but unless you're bloody retarded or want to be, there's no real good reason to drink that stuff. I've had real absinthe smuggled in from europe, it's like drinking pure fire. One shot is usually enough for me, then it's time to move on. I agree with the other older fellas here though, "the hardest hitting stuff" is not your best bet. But if you must, have fun at the hospital getting your stomach pumped because you did 2 (yeah TWO) shots of everclear in 10 minutes..

Absinthe the only place I've had that is Amsterdam. I was told that it's not true Absinthe, but it kicks ass anyway.

You can buy Absinthe online though. True Absinthe has thujone, which gives the hallucinagic effect.

I also would like it to taste good, but if you wanna get hammered, drink the strongest! Haha

The two strongest liquors I've ever had are Habu-sake, and spiritis, they both feel like burning sandpaper in your throught but if you're in Japan and looking to get messed up those are the drinks.

My 2 suggested Fuck-you-up drinks:

-Try a "Long Beach Ice Tea" (LIIT but with cranberry instead of cola). - rum + vodka + gin + triple sec + cranberry juice. Have 2 or 3 and tell me how you're feelin

- Try "liquid cocaine" shot - Bacardi 151 + Goldschlager + Jager. What more needs to be said

I would recommend something that is 80 proof or so. Rather then be fucked up within an hour and pass out throwing up on your self with 150+. The only liquor I have been drinking is Paul Masson (6$ a pint) and coke. I think you should get 80 proof because you can and will get fucked up off of it but you will still be able to run around the house screaming with your friends for hours, rather then sitting on the couch fucked up because you "pushed it" with the strong liquor. I wish you were in GA, because I have bottles of moonshine that my grandparents in Serbia make. 198proof, plastic eating alcohol. It was the only time I got alcohol poisoning after I drank 8oz's of it back in 7th grade. I did not touch liquor for the next 5 or so years and will never touch that moonshine again. But if anyone that lives near me wants to try some, just ask.
