s13 sr20det redtop 02 sensor doesnt fit in megan elbow /sr's dumping to much fuel

i know it says in the sr faqs that you use an 87 280zx 02 sensor for the redtop and then they give a part number. and the 95 300z for the black top. is there any other one you can use? what happens if you use 300z 02 sensor on redtop? would it act up? i was told you can use the 95 sentra 02 sensor. bosch #15726, has anyone used this sensor? the problem is i have a megan manifold and elbow, and the hole for the 02 sensor is too big for the stock or the one given in the sr faqs. i put the 300zx one in and fit it fit perfectly, but im not sure if thats part of the reason why my car is using so much fuel.

its dumping a lot of fuel. im getting 10 miles to the gallon. also i drove 200 miles and my engine started running like shit, as if the fuel was choking it. it wouldnt go over 3000rpm. it has carbon out the ass in the exhaust and it smells like its running really rich. and it is running rough. has any one had this problem? everything is stock except front mounted intercooler, intake, and boost controller. also i thought i was getting stock sr injectors, but when they showed up they were purple, so im almost positive they are from a fair lady z. when i first started it it was running a little rough, but nothing too bad. i had no problem getting up speed(got it up to 120mph) it boosted fine (i stop boosting at .75, then kept it at .55 on boost controller) it acted nothing like it does now. ive had people look at it, ive gone through and double checked it, but still missing somehting.

any info would help, im hoping its just something i over looked. i have a friend that has the same problem with his sr. and we have been beating our heads against the wall over this

my buddy has a couple of extra ecu's. so i took mine out and put his in. after that, it boosted fine, stopped cutting out after 3000-3500rpm, no more black smoke or carbon pouring out of the exhaust. it was like night and day. i wish i would of tried it earlier, it would of prevented a lot of pain and grief, not to mention tearing half the crap off my engine and putting it on.
