no boost after 4k... i think.

hey guys it me again. ok ok so finally i found time to get my ride running again. everything seems fine and idle is stable at 700-800. at idle, my car will have no problem revving up to 7k and the turbo will spool nicely. when in gear the car will only rev to 4k and i barely feel the boost. when i shift its the same thing. the car bucks after 4.5k and i feel that it wants to keep going but cant. and the fastest i got the car to go was 55 mph. haha. i need help.

96 blacktop s13 SR20DET
t25 (stock) nice turbo, not blown, little oil in the hotpipe
bosch platnium tip plugs (i need NGKs huh?)
stock injects
FMIC, no leaks found.

please help!

almost sounds like your ecu is in limp mode. Also check your plugs, check the color, gap them and reset your ecu. See what happens and hit us back.

Tighten your clamps, you might have a boost leak.

ok.... thanks for all your advice. so this is the deal:

the car runs... ok. idle is stable and boost seems to be building. there still are some issues after 4.5k rpms like the car starts to buck after that range. when the car is moving, and im shifting gears, boost seems to be building, but at higer gears only. first and second gears kick hard, but only till 4.5 rpms and then bucking occurs. i set the ecu mode thing (next to the ecu light) all the way to the right and the car started running nicer. i dont think i have any boost leaks, but im gonna redo the piping just to make sure. i also think the ecu wasnt used to my setup and was still learning from it. after all, this is a different ecu than what my motor originally came with.

gotta love blacktops and E5's. ill keep ya posted. thanks.
BTW- i installed all the links in the back and thr RUCAs. soon, ill have my joy back. thanks again.

Im really thinking its the plugs. i had the same problem when i first had my SR. i put new plugs thinking Bosch's was all hot shit and they got eaten up quick.i mean like one run quick.Same problems though, bucking higher up in the rpms and crappy idle and driveability but they were also the wrong heat range but i didn't know. put in NGK BKR7E and problem was gone. bought like 12 of them last time so i always got replacements.
