SR20DE Questions

well Hi to everyone and I am new here I bought an 89 240sx fastback with an incomplete sr20de swap. I need a few things to complete the swap and had a few questions because a guy was offering to sell me some parts to finish the install but I need to know if they will work.

all the following parts are from a nx2000 with an sr20de already installed on the car.

MAFS
coil
and ecu and internal wiring harness, I already have the wiring harness for the engine components and just need the last leg to connect the ecu and the other interior components.

please respond back with any help

thanks
tim

Wait, you are trying to put the DE from a FWD in your RWD car?

^ no he's not. he just wants to know of those parts from the FWD version would work on the RWD sr20de.

I dont see why they wouldn't. except for the engine harness.

well I already have the engine harness that belongs to the sr20de engine like all of the sensors and stuff, but the rest of the harness went missing when the guy brought the setup to the shop.

well I am going to try to take it in there on thursday to see if they can get it to work.

thanks

ok since the guys at the shop know absolutely nothing about the sr swap and shouldn't have taken the job in the first place, I ask you guys will the sr20det wiring harness work for just the sr20de? And if so do I have to do any rewiring to the det harness to make it work with the coil/distributor setup or is it just plug and play? if not is it easier to get the ka24e harness rewired to fit onto the sr20de? Know of a good place to get a cable or how to make one that will go from the original ka24e coil to the sr20de distributor?

sorry for asking so many questions. they guy I bought the car from said that the swap was paid for when it wasn't and the guy that owns the shop wants to charge me out the nose for the full install on top of waiting for his importer to get the parts. I am a pretty experienced guy when it comes to electronics, I am just pretty maticulos when it comes to learning about something before I do it.

thanks
tim
