well i'm not sure about your specific gauge, but going off of what VAs13 said:

red-constant 12v power (on all the time)
orange-ignition (meaning only turns on when you turn your car on)
white-lights (to a wire that's on the dimmer, so it the gauge dims with ur dash lights)

get a volt meter and go in the radio harness.

for illumination its the - red/blue wire that comes off of a plug
12v - use a volt meter
accessory"ignition" - volt meter behind radio

yea, you want it wired in with your dash lighting (ie dimmer). The only other option is wire it to something that comes on with the car (ie ignition) and have the gauge light on all the time. I would just wire it in with your dash lighting. It isn't that hard

Send a message via AIM to w0nderbr3ad
go in with a multimeter and turn your lights on and off and test where you get 12v with the lights on and thats where you tap into for your illumination (white wire).
