I have the cluster lid loose, but it's stuck. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the lid without breaking it. thanks

On the bottom of the steering column there are two bolts that when loosened will drop the column a few inches. This will allow you to remove the cluster surround and cluster without any issues or headaches.
