Hey all, so I just bought my third 240. Its a concord grey 95 SE. Its all original 78k miles, perfect interior and very nice exterior. Anyways, I notcied that the steering wheel doesnt tilt, and the cluster isn't white. Now, the old man I bought it from was the original owner and said he hasnt done anything but rountine maintanace on this car. I ran the vin and it is indeed an SE. So whats up with the not white cluster, and the non-tilt wheel? Did they not do those features on the 95 or what? Sorry if this is a n00b question or something, but yeah I was just really curious.

hmm.. that is strange? i have a 95 SE also but my steering wheel tilts and have a white faced cluster. do you have 5 lug?

seems like you got ripped off...every SE ive seen comes with both those options. And steelies with caps? wtf someone did somethin to the car....

yeah thats what i was wondering, but when the bank ran the vin too it pops up as an SE. I mean its got power everything including sunroof, cruise, abs, i just dunno about the wheel n stuff.

All SEs should have had 16" alloy wheels and white faced gauges. Tilt wheel I would assume is also standard, but I can't say for sure. Mind you, the gauges are just superficial... but they should still be there nonetheless.

3800 the car is really really sharp, i could care less about the stuff, i was just curious ya know, plus i love the paint! you think that price is too high??

Nope, price is definitely within reason for such low miles, in good condition. Makes you wonder, though, when you see things like non-SE gauges and wheels. Could be a dealer fluke (I got a VW GTi mk4 with hubcaps, because they sold the wheels to someone with a Golf who wanted GTI wheels - got a screamin deal). Whatever. You've got a new-ish motor, 5lug, and a sunroof - enjoy.

Do you have a sunroof/moonroof?

my base ( non-se ) came with a tilting wheel I think black thing to the left of the steering wheel lift up move wheel up and down?

Im pretty sure that it doesnt have a tilt wheel unless im retarded, which is usually the case, when i looked at it it was dark out, i guess ill know for sure when i pick it up saturday morning

All SEs came with tilt wheel, period. If the owner has swapped shit out or moved shit around, fine, but it's a base model if you don't have tilt, I don't care what else is fitted to the car.

so your saying that its a base model no matter what? Even with the vin saying its an SE, its got 5 lug swap, ABS added, power sunroof. but those were all just added on, by an old guy who says he hasnt changed anything like that.

I bet it's an SE, just from all those options

there's is a black lever to the left of the steering wheel, you lift it up and move the wheel up and down to the desired position, than put the level back into place locking the positions.

I have a 95 240SX. It is a base model, Not an SE, i do not have 5 lug. I have 4 lugs, black odometer. I have Tilt wheel like it shows in the pic above. I have a sunroof/moon roof in my car. Power windows, power locks, cruise are all there. But my 240sx embelm in the back is in gold color instead of silver.

Maybe they tried all sorts of things in 95 with this model. It being the first and all.

yea more than likely your steering wheel is stock. I dont know who would go through the step to order one without the tilt. It makes no sense. What month/year was it built. What batch. I will check mine tomorrow.
