Idler sprocket fix

Anybody know a way to fix stripped threads for the timing chain idler sprocket aside from getting a new head?
Will using a slightly longer bolt (1/4") work?

I'd rethread or helicoil before putting a longer bolt in, the depth isn't really workable, and doing that only gives you a solid bite at the end of the bolt, the opposite of where you need it.

Did you get this fixed? If so, How? I just had the same thing happen to mine!
