The caravans will all be taken care of in good time.

Its still numerous months away.
They will start on the local forums and then end up on here and Nico.
From there, they will all be combined as to the times of passing certain areas and the quikest route for each caravan.

anyone interested in getting a group campground at Saddleback Butte SP? each group campground can hold 12 cars and a maximum of 30 people. its about 1.5hrs (41mi) from WSIR. just a suggestion if no one books motel rooms.

reasons? the economy is in the shitter. most folks aren't going to want to spend over a grand on this trip (between gas, food, and lodging), they aren't going to want to drive 40 plus hours there and back, and the 240sx community has been taken over by a bunch of bandwagon drifter wannabe's not true nissan enthusiasts. the 240sx community has been chopped up to a bunch of local and regional divisions. prior to the 02 convention most enthusiasts knew each other from the old amarok email list. so even though the community was spread out across 3000 miles, people still knew each other from online. point being, back then members couldn't wait to meet each other in person. where as now, there are a bunch of "enthusiasts" in their own back yard. and their sentiment will be, "why drive all the way to california when i can meet people right here in my own back yard." (i've already seen this on our local forum.) and lastly, people have no sense of adventure anymore.

again, good luck. lol. i'd go again in a heartbeat, but i'm one of the 10% without solid employment. (i.e. part time.)

I'll be there unless something horrible happens between now and then. I was a volunteer at the 02 meet and had a blast (and met 99% of you at least in passing that went as I was a parking director). I still have all my chit from that meet... the unopened shirt, dash placecard, lanyard, program, and the dvd [have a cameo interview]..... was such a good 3 days. even Don from PDM-racing came. I'm keeping the msg board I moderate up to date on this event, and will be checking back often. Thanks for doing this Kevin and Lisa, I'm sure it will be a great success.

As far as we know.

Friday will be the big meet at SpeedZone, like in 2002.
Lotsa of different kart tracks meets dave and busters, plus lots of room and a large parking lot.
(I had my 31st Bday there with about 20 zilvia members and friends, and its super fun in a large group!)

Saturday is the "Meet"
venders, prizes, cars and cars and food and cars, lol.
In LA county somewhere.
we have a couple places in mind. still undecided.

Sunday is Willow Springs International Raceway.
HTM will be for Grip and Balconey will be for Drifting.
most likely food again.
alot of people will head up saturday and camp that night.
as long as no one is out of control!!
there are also several motels very close that will probably be filled up.


So far that is it.
Very soon i will have a teaser video up on the different forums.

Will we be able to run a few drift groups on HTM? I'm sorry but imo balcony is well...eh I wouldn't even waste the money on balcony, use that money for more good food, or stickers/shirts for the event. Just run seperate groups, drift group and grip group, rotate them throughout the day (every 15 minutes or so)

No Drifting on HTM as of now.

There are lots of people coming from out of state and last thing we need is someone destroy their car there. But as time gets closer, we will make a final decision, if there is enough interest and driving talent.
