Just talk about some different things you collect... Like I collect zippo's.. HAve like 25 of them.. just something I like.. anyone wanna post?

I collect butterflies.


^here are a few I caught in Madera Canyon over the fall.
One of them was eaten by a dermestid beetle... will need to freeze this box.

I have many many more... this is just what I had out at the moment.

I used to collect skate shoes but ended up selling them because I was broke.

^shit's hardcore.... there's a whole underground butterfly blackmarket and everything.

Some worth thousands based on rarity.

I don't get that into it.... it was something I did as a kid and just caught a few with my gf at the time whenever we'd go hiking.

^The ones that are really cool looking are from different countries. There is one from Thailand(I think it's Thailand) that is sacred to them. If you are caught with one in their country you will be sentenced to death.

The ones from the U.S. cannot be legally exported so some are considered rare and expensive. I have a few Red Bordered Satyrs (Tritonia) which are only found in AZ and NM.

JK, I collect money, dollars bills ending in a star on the serial number, comic books, hotwheels ( only ones that are of real cars non of that crazy v8 powered bathtub shit) vinyl toys, tshirts, and Nissan Nostalgia. Along with magazines.

some 90's honda hobbyist moved a while back and gave me all of his magazines, got me pretty much complete from '93-'01, and i subscribed from then on to a year before the end.
also got a few Super Streets, i have one from '96 or so.

I have a book on when and where to find each kind but it's always fun to just go wherever.
I use a big 20" net when I'm going all out and a smaller 12" one that folds and is easy to hide from park rangers or tree hugging hippies when hiking. I try to keep only the best but sometimes it is hard to see if they are messed up or not through the net.

I need to get some cornell boxes for them so I can display them. All the ones I have mounted are in these old school pencil boxes. My dad has a few cornell boxes full of butterflies he caught from the late 80's all labeled.

SCC collection is pretty badass. I have a few years worth of Transworld Skateboard mags.

I used to collect music... not so much anymore.... I only have about 150 gigs these days...All CD quality. Mostly indie and rap/hip hop

^I used to have those pj ladds in black and another pair in brown... they sucked. My fav are the original Muskas, Creagers and Koston 2s. All impossible to find.

I collect not-for-sale videogame stuff.

This includes development hardware, proto/unreleased games and hardware, store kiosks, debug equipment, cleaning/service gear, promo stuff, etc.

Examples:

These are Nintendo DS "Download Station" store demo carts. When you download a demo to your DS (before DSi) in a Gamestop, they have a DS unit in the back with one of these carts in it, acting as the "server". The game stores are supposed to return these when a new one comes out, but a few slip out into private hands.

Stuff like development gear, unreleased code, etc is much more closely guarded and much tougher to obtain. It's all banned from eBay (officially, but some sneaks on) and it all tends to be legally the property of the game companies. It is not in my best interest to advertise that I own certain items.

I like chasing after random crap online too, you find interesting things sometimes. No one finds this stuff rare/valuable, but I like looking for it. I have accumulated a lot of static E3/TGS demo footage video files, and then stuff like this:

License plates from different states. I take them from Used inventory cars that come out of state. Have about 20 ish or so.

I have about 1100 physical CDs and about 175+ GB of music on the hard drives.
I have about 150 1/64 Hotwheels and somewhere in excess of 60 diecast model cars/motorcycles 1/32 and larger.

My grampa collects license plates too... he has the whol side of our shed thing covered =)
