S13 Won't Start ! Help

Hi All

i left the door open over nite and drained the battery

I jump started it, but it starting not smoothly, it ended up taking me 20 mins to start it and it sounds like the starter is dying .

then i figure the batt is dead. and i changed one

now with a new batt, i can't even hear the start crank, just a click under the hood. I tried push start, but still can't start.

any ideas ?

Thx alot !

It's located in the fusebox parallel with the battery towards the strut tower. I've never really pulled one out, so I'm not sure exactly how to check if it's working or not (fuses are easier ). Also, how good is your cable connected? Battery cable, that is. The cable itself (its condition and whatnot) might be something you wanna look at before you purchase a new starter. Maybe they sold you a faulty battery too. Good luck.

i thought even if the starter or starter relay is failed ... i can still be able to push start it ?

I tried it on a downslope, when i release the clutch, the engine will stop the car ... and it won't keep going .

hi Zing

if you want to test your relay is simple. when you pull out the relay of the fuse box u have 4 or 5 slot. grab a test light and check if you have positive in one slot, key on. if you have positive check my attach file and jump 2 slot and start the engine. if it start its your relay.

one time my friend kinda moved my fuse box under the hood and i couldn't start the car. it took my friend to figure out what was wrong..when all the fuses weren't in all the way, i'd turn the key and all i'd hear are clicking noises constantly. All my friend did was push down on all the fuses to make sure that they were secure and made sure the positive and negative battery terminals were well connected. After that, my SR started fine. I would check the fuses..make sure they're in and none of them blown.

i pulled it out and have it tested in advance auto parts
i think in your case it won't be starter's problem
coz your car will turn over at least
