s14 problems

i have a 95 s14 ka and i cant get a spark from her. i changed the cap and rotor and still no spark. the weird thing is when i turn the key to on the check engine light is gone, arnt all the lights supposed to show? i need some help here?

probably the battery?

i had the same problem, when i got my s14. thought it was the starter but it ended up being the battery

check the ECM fuse along with all Fuses , Battery connections also.

it cranks fine and i checked all the fuses and there good, it just doesnt spark, b4 it wouldnt start i drovit it fine with the cel on and one day it wouldnt start now the cel is off when i try to start it. i tried to jump her and that didnt work. i changed the fuel filter and that didnt work. i think i need a new distriburtor

Sounds like your not getting any power to computer ,check harness connection.

So did you get it fixed?? If you did, what was the problem?? If you didn't, use the SEARCH function here on Zilvia & download a Factory Service Manual for your model year.

Use the FSM to verify that you are getting power to your Engine Control Unit. It's possible that the relay powering the ECU could have died. Or your Crank Angle Sensor is broken. Or you could have a bad ground wire above the Oxygen sensor. Nissan runs several ground wires to this connection point on your engine block, (Don't ask me how I learned this). Or you could be right...the distributor gave out...I doubt it...but it's possible.

Follow the troubleshooting guide in the FSM and you should be able to figure out what your problem is. If you can get your ECU working, then using the ECU to read your Diagnostic Trouble Codes...it should help you to figure out what your problem is.

Anyhow, hope this helps...

just wondering if you have found what the problem was, cause my s14 started doing this, the engine light wont turn on including the others and it doesn't crank when i turn the key.
