I agree wholeheartedly, but seeing as how those tails are used by some of the sickest drifters out there, I guess I feel everyone is allowed a small ricey mod when the rest of the car is pretty much on point.

I honestly havent seen a car pull of the RB wing that well since they used it themselves..

Rice is what all the cool kiddies think is stupid, or doesn't have an uber expensive brand name on it. It's pretty difficult to define it by performance now, looking at the past few pages...

however, i think a good guide line to follow when it comes to calling things rice is:
hondas. anything that is done to a honda should be considered rice.

DISCLAIMER: this excludes the 1% of honda owners who actually make their cars really nice and presentable.

Its that more and more mods are slowly finding their way into that category. yes everyone knows what your typical riced out car looks like. but so many current car trends are so tasteless and played out that its totally redefining modern day "rice".

I think whoever first posted that junkhouse s13 was joking around. that car is super rad. I don't think those tail lights are rice at all. if the rest of the car is executed properly than i don't see why he can't pull them off. aren't those tail lights a decent chunk of change too? (dmax, hippo sleek)

from the 180sx front end, the rocket bunny wing, and 15" meshies; this hatch pulls it all off perfectly. it's driven hard too, definitely not a garage queen.
the boundary between tasteful and tacky has been way too obscured, hence rice being thrown around way too much.

rwd fitment on a fwd with stupid amounts of camber = tacky
intentionally rusting any portion of a import car = tacky
diamond racing wheels/widened steelies = tacky
overuse of zipties on non drift cars (example: hondas)= tacky
combining all of these one to one car and thinking its cool = stanceworks/canibeat

I think we're be a bit too broad with the definition as well. It should be anything that's hacked together as Deolio said, cosmetic versions of performance mods, or fake performance mods like the BOV exhaust tips. Everything else is just ugly.
