First SMALL paint project

Well, I got some new wheels the other day, and knew immediately I wanted them a different color. So before I even got tires for them or really looked at them much I ran to my buddies freinds paint shop.

I knew exactly the color I wanted which was a nice deep purple with a little bit of flake in it.

Soo....... Dodge Challenger Purple with flake is the color that I got!

I absolutely love the color, perfect hands down.

So, now that the paint was there, me and my friend went ahead and scuffed my BRAND NEW wheels lol, (cheap wheels so no big deal)

After they were all scuffed up we went ahead and primed them, and after that threw on some primer sealer.

So we let them bake in the sun for about an hour or so, (lunch break) and went back down to set up the basement.

Here is our ghetto paint booth lol.

Now that the walls are covered sorta, and the car in there was too, it was time to get down to business.

Heres my buddy all excited to start haha.

And another, (remember this was our first real painting adventure, with a paint gun at least, so we were quite excited lol.)

After all the work and sweat and getting high on the fumes lol. Heres the outcome.

I'm going to be painting the barrels and insides tomorrow. Then they will be getting cleared.

Hope yall like!!

Just a quick question. When you paint your rims, you only want to spray the top part(spoke) correct? Like you dont want to paint the whole thing? Sorry if this question is stupid. Just curious.

Nice! My buddy actually painted his hatch that dodge color!

The car is a little bright for me but its a dope color! Looks real good on the wheels though, I think it makes a better accent color than car color

A. If he prepped them good any GOOD tire shop shouldn't scratch them or they are just complete retards.

B. If a tire shop could mount those upside down I would shit my pants. They would probably get the first bead, but there is no chance in hell the second bead would go and they would probably tear it and then your tire is fucked... Im just saying, works good on REVERSE LIP wheels but not on normal wheels that have a small drop-center twards the face of the wheel.

^^^ putting a tire on a wheel that's on a machine any which way is easy. it's taking it off that's the hard part.

Mine makes sense, let a car gain attention by details, not painting some wheels a flashy donk color.

People crack me up buying battles, then attempted to paint them to be different. Rice thread much?

Sorry I don't get down with street cars running stupid ass orange/pink/purple/neon/bagofdickflesh colored wheels.

But hey, by all means paint your wheels the color of a unicorn's shit for all I care.
