Frame possibly bent

Hey.. if a frame is bent is the car not worth fixing? A shop told me they can bend it back on a rack and if needed put in extra bracing but would it not be worth the trouble and money? The car would be used for a lot of autocrossing and drift events so it's going to be put through a good deal of abuse.

how badly bent is it?

I would rock a car with a bent frame if I had one still. I don't think the abuse will be noticeable on a bent frame or not. The biggest thing will be strange alignment settings or different behavior on the track because one tire can't be put in spec or something. I don't think its a big enough thing to worry about unless you were trying to be competitive and it was holding you back.

Actually that's exactly what the problem is now. The car was brought for an alignment and they couldn't get one wheel back to spec so they said the frame is bent, although as of now we're unsure. It could just be part of the suspension is bent. One way or another, right now the car goes perfectly straight and doesn't pull at all, camber *looks* the same as the other corners so I can't imagine it'd be that bad.

my frame was bent a little too after i slid into a curb, i had some positive camber and alittle toe in on the right rear, once i lowered it the camber was able to go back to perfect now, and im saving up for some rear toe controlers or just a new subframe. thats what i suggest you do, as long as the alignments good theres nothing really wrong with a bent subframe. what exactly isnt to spec on your alignment?

I'm not sure what they couldn't get back to spec but as far as I can tell it was fine. It was pulling to the right a tiny bit before and they fixed that, it goes straight just fine now. It was Sears though so I don't entirely trust their diagnosis. When it wouldn't go to spec they just wrote it off as a bent frame and wouldn't tell anything more than that. The car is going to a reputable shop wednesday to get put on a rack.
