Recommended Clutch kits

I'm going to do a manual tranny swap on my 89 s13 coupe, can anybody make any suggestions on what brands to trust for the clutch?

Depends what your power goal is and remember HP is not the matter of which clutches you are choosing. It is Torque.

Exedy, ACT is good brand, Lot of people use Spec because they are very inexpensive.

If you are planning to make your engine to produce good power, I advise that DO NOT go cheap on clutch.

BTW "Stage 1" clutches are same as OEM. they are nothing more special so don't get fooled.

For just a stock replacement, the Exedy is the best...
I believe some people call it a stage 0 and it costs about $130 and includes everything you need...

I've had a Spec 2+ in my xB for years now (about 80K with it and it) and haven't had a problem, and I've done a lot of hooning around and track days with it. I'm actually looking to pick up a Spec for my s13 soon.

yall arent going to like this... but get a f1 racing or whatever it is off ebay. i went and picked mine up. I got a 'stage 2' that was THE EXACT SAME as a exedy stage one. when i say exact same i mean it had exedy stamps on it and was identical to the exedy i was replacing. but was less then half the price... I honestly think that place takes over stock clutches and sprays them blue and call it f1 racing... so no guarantee itll be a nice one. but seeing how you didnt take all of 5 seconds to search im guessing you wouldnt know the difference anyways

As of right now, we're just trying to get the car to a daily driving condition. We're running a stock KA24E but, we're either going to go SR or KA24DE in the near future. If you hadn't already guessed, we're going to drift it. But I'm still a little new to the whole drift scene, so I'm not sure what's good and what's not.
