Exclamation KA S13 Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Problems!

Ok...i never put up stupid threads asking people shit. I did try to search, but i'm not really sure what the fuck to search...so here it is.

Ok, I recently like back in april swapped out my old kade since it had a major spun bearing (melted to the crank, how i bought it) and swapped in a lower mileage, good known running KADE...the car was also auto, so swapped it for a 5spd...put it in laddida...ok.

So i put in the whole Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit, and not even 1k miles later, i start hearing a jittering/clangy noise from like the motor/bellhousing area. Drove it today, asked my gf to listen to the noise, almost like a clicking/tapping noise when i push my clutch in...then tonight, i go out to move my car to a closer parking space in our development and start it up, go to push the clutch in, and a loud assss noise coming from the same place! like a grinding/rattle noise and it won't go into gear unless i absolutely SLAMMED it in there. backed it up, out of the old parking spot and realized even when i let off the clutch pedal, the car was still in gear and engaged...pull it up to the new parking spot after mannyyy stares and lights turned on (old farts) and get my gf to push the clutch in while i looked under the car...i found, that (i knew this and was in the process of buying ALL the bolts that bolt the bellhousing to the motor) but since there are no bolts on the bottom of the bellhousing/motor area, when she pushed the clutch in, the motor and bellhousing actually seperated from itself on the bottom...thinking maybe as i drove along maybe this was happening and didnt notice or a rock or some shit got up in the clutch/pressure plate/flywheel area? idk i'm desperate this is my DD! i'm saving up for 1or2jz swap...but, does anyone have any past with this? lol fuck my fucking life i hate this pisswhore slut.

Thanks...

So are you saying that the bell housing is separating?
Because i had a problem w/ my flywheel bolts coming loose and making some what similar noises under those conditions. I swapped my KA for a rebuilt one and neglected the fact that i would also need to replace the bolts for the flywheel. not knowing that they can actually become warped and what not.
Thats all i got.

If the fw was loose wouldent it rattle all the time? because regardless of if the clutch was clamping or not the fw would still jiggle on the crank.. idk

But if your transmission is coming off your engine then the tranny is loose, I dont think any clutch issue would cause that to happen

So since stuff is loose it must not have been put on tight, so chances are who ever diddnt tighten the tranny bolts diddnt tighten the clutch plate bolts or something.

But you never know, when i bought my car my input shaft sleeve (the part the tob slides on) was cracked off and just riding on the input shaft..it drove good but sounded awful..

anyway if you have to slam it into gears then the clutch isint releasing the disc enough, prolly partly because as the tob pushes on the clutch it pushes the tranny back instead of pushing the clutch enough to release the disc, thus making gear selection a bitch, the noise is another story but just tighten all the tranny bolts and see what happends, it might go away.

It was just installed shitty, that clutch kicks ass
Good luck!

Do you have the two brackets that mount the bottom of the bell housing to the block installed?
