Retitling a FL COD vehicle

I'm reading online about getting a title for a Certificate of Destruction vehicle. I know that I can get a title by going through Kentucky DMV, but would I be able to register the car in Florida at that point?

Is this the "Florida DMV enthusiasts" forum?
Maybe you should contact your local tag agency.
Why the heck would you need to go to Kentucky to get a car titled in Florida???

Yup, call your tax colletor office for your county. I had an issue with registering a car with a rebuilt titled car from CA to FL. They had to look into their system to cross reference the title even tho it said salvaged/rebuilt on the title, just to make sure the car is road-worthy.

Oh, so because I'm not asking how to import a mad tyte Skyrine y0 I'm suddenly on the wrong forum when it comes to vehicle registration? Get your head out of your ass, buddy. A certificate of destruction means a vehicle cannot be driven on the road. It's deqd. The only state that will accept COD for registration is Kentucky, who will then issue a title if you go through the proper channel. All I need to know is, will Florida accept the title despite the history, or is the VIN somehow permanently tarnished?

Some people on this forum, other than yourself, seem to know a lot about these processes; that's who I'm addressing my question to. Not some dude from Cali who's ready to insult me without even knowing what he's talking about.

Alright I'll do that. I haven't simply because I don't trust them to give me a straight answer. If they suspect me of "title washing," I doubt they'll be forthcoming if there's a loophole in the process. That's why I asked here, in case someone has personal experience.
