Crazy Bouncy rear w/ swaybar
I had a rear Tanabe sway bar installed on my car recently.
I took it out to an event Weds and good god was my rear end bouncy. ![]() Every time I tried to turn in I could feel the rear of my car skipping along the ground. It would not sit flat at all. Is it just the fact that with the rear sway bar every little nuance of the road is greatly exaggerated or is something else going on?

by roll bar you mean cage or sway bar? could be that the addition eliminated some flex just soften your dampers a notch or two i bet it will clear up

if u are talking about "antisway bar" or anitroll bar, too much bar takes away traction. on a car it is meant to keep car flat, but at a certain point you use it to take away traction. if a car is more or less flat during cornering, more "bar" means less traction on that side of a car.
also, way too much bar lifts inside tire,(which is why on light weight cars they use more spring instead of bar, although bar affects car less during accel/deccel than spring). lifting of inside tire feels pretty crappy with a positive feeling diff. and if road is sh@tty, crappy is an understatement. for rollbar/rollcage, id agree with head above. |

![]() Yeah I actually STIFFENED the damping on my coilovers (instead of softening them) thinking it would eliminate the problem. ![]()

yeah, too much bar is like too much spring, takes away traction. try adding more front bar, or reducing spring rate in rear. personally i like stock bars with high spring rates, i dont like intense front to rear weight transfers.
