![]() I was looking at the Nismo parts for the SR20DET (motor mounts, SS lines, etc...) and I ran across something called the solid pivot for the drivetrain. What exactly does it do? I have no idea what it woul be used for, but any insight at this point in time is appreciated.
P.S. I already searched, found something on some pivoting device but it was for cams, this isn't for cams. Thanks in advance. |

It's the pivot that the clutch fork attaches to. Meant for use with high-strength clutches so you don't break the factory pivot.

So this part is not a necessary one for a car pushing around 265 HP? For the money, seemed like a nice insurance policy. Also, will this part be OK to use with a stage 1 exedy clutch? Seems like it might be overkill, but if it is stronger, it may be worth it.
