Rear End Question

Alright, I got a 95 240sx and recently everytime I go to take off or gun it just a little bit I get a quick Popping sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. It only pops 1 time unless I keep letting off the gas then hitting it again. At first I thought somehting suspension wise, but then I talked to my dad and a couple others and they said it sounded more like a u-joint. Problem is I can't find a U-joint at any parts store, so I'm kinda wondering if that is the problem for sure or not. Have any of you guys had this problem happen to you before? Any help is greatly appreciated.

U-joints are not replaceable on 240s.

It's more than likely the subframe bushings, do a search. It's well discussed.

The popping noise is most likely the subframe bushings and the stoppers, i once had that problem when the subframe was rocking back and forth during acceleration and letting off. Best way around it is to replace the subframe bushings and install a subframe spacers, while yer under there you might as well install new diff stopper bushings since its cheap.

Can you only get the bushings from the dealership? or are you able to get them from other auto parts store?

check out splparts.com for all your suspension needs. they sell some solid subframe spacers and collars that will probably take care of your problem.
