OK, here's the deal...I want to build a SR20DET powered 240. I plan on buying an S13....240 w/ pop-up headlights....Then i will buy a JDM S14 front clip...the engine stuff seems pretty straight forward, but i don't know about the body work. I really want the S15 front conversion, but i've heard different things. Some say it's pretty easy, some say it's very hard. I found a kit to convert an S14 to the S15 front, but nothing for the S13. I was thinking that with the S14 front clip, and the S14/S15 conversion kit that i could have enough parts for the job to get done. I haven't been able to find very much info on people who have done this, but i saw pics of the Strawberry face on a JDM 180, and it looks phat. SO any info or opinions is appreciated...thanx

OK...it sounds like too much work to do all that trading around anyways....so, i guess i'll just get an S13 240 hatch, and a Silvia S13 front clip. I actually really like the S13 silvia front with the Veilside CL model front bumper....if you haven't seen it, go to VeilsideUSA.com and take a look, it looks phat. So a veilside Silvia front, and Bomex side skirts and rear, and 180sx tail lights. And of course the SR20DET.....and possibly the right wing to bring it all together. Does anyone forsee any problems with that, it should all work right....Thanks for the input..

why not go for the full Veilside kit?
what are you referring to as the 'right wing'?
political parties?

it should sound alrite...
g'luck w/ everything.
the only obstacle in ur way would be the cost of the Veilside kit.

excuse me....I meant that the correct wing (right wing) would set it off, but i'm initially not going to put a wing on it....The reason that i don't get the whole Veilside kit is that they don't make a whole CL kit, only a front bumper, plus it would probably be cheaper to get the side skirts and rear from somewhere else. I think that the rear and sides are not as impt as the front...Anyways, look for my car in magazines when it's done.... Americanized custom Sileighty.....

no a great looking daily driver, i'll be racing it too tho. If looks was all i cared about i'd just leave the truck engine in there.

ah. let's not go here again.
for as long as I've been on Zilvia (i've been on here for over 2 years; former username kitoro), we've had this convo/debate over and over again.

the KA24 has its good points.
look at the massive amounts of torque that engine can put out. that's pretty impressive to me.
Mind you, the engine isn't as high revving as the SR20, but it's still got a punch.

cool, i just want the SR20DET because it will be easier to do than modifying the KA24...If you can make good power out of anyhthing then it gets my respect, fast is fast, who cares how you get there.

for the strawberry face, there's a few companies in japan that make custom fiberglass side fenders for a swap onto a 180. so i guess if u look hard enough online u might find a site. or if u have a friend in japan u could have them order it out of an Option magazine and send them to u. i've heard of some people cutting the fenders in half and molding them together. i think the fenders are mainly the only things that don't bolt on correct unless u get the custom ones.(could be wrong so don't quote me on it) and for the "right wing" my favorite for a 180 is the hammerhead wing from C-West, just not too comfortable with spending 650 on just a spoiler, but it looks great
