theres a whole lot of wires and hoses extra and i don't know what exactly to do.
i know im going to need a breather , but thats a rather large hose so i dont think a standard breather will fit will it? also the 02 sensor should i cut a hole in my cone filter and stick it inside? or should i just place it very close to the cone? |

why would your o2 sensor go in your air filter? are you talking bout your maf? can you speciofy what you have exatcly?
all you gotta do if you just got a cone and adapter is bolt up the adapter and cone to where your stock air box used to fit into and bam done! as far as wiring? why would you have wiring or hoses? |

I think that he is thinking that the adapter plate connects to the throttle body, and he has to hook all of the hoses, Mass Air Flow Sensor, and all that shit up to it still. as camppain said you just bolt the adapter plate to the mass air flow sensor (thing thing with the "wires") and slap your filter on, lates

since i'm poor i'm getting a used cone air filter from a friend and i'm going to put it on my 90 coupe. i've seen these adaptors on enjuku racing for $20, and it bolts right on the mass air flow sensor, right?? my question is how does the air filter fit on this adaptor?? is there a clamp or something??? if so how would a clamp work b/c the adaptor is metal??? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

The end of the cone is rubber... You can clamp that onto the adapter. The adapter bolts on to where your airbox used to be. Depending on your adapter, you can bolt on the 02 sensor onto the adapter.

You have an '89, so it may or may not be present. Anyway, if that's what you meant, then you can just mount it somewhere in the general area; it doesn't have to be inside the filter, or even "very close". |
