ok THIS eclipse looks pretty good. front looks badass cuz you can see the rear flares, and the rear looks good too. side shot sucks because the rear pillars look like shit.

overall, good shit.
eclipse is still ugly though

Good idea, I guess, in application, but my opinion on the matter is that the new eclipse is ugly as sin, looks like one of those fake cars from Ridge Racer 5 on the PS2.

I guess people fall into 2 catagories as far as where car styling is going. Some of my friends hate the look of new cars. I personally like the look of them. I like the look of the new Eclipse. Your right, it's kinda futuristic looking and not for everyone. I guess what I don't like most from new car designs is the fact that A-Pillars are getting pushed forward too much. It shortens the length of the hood and makes front ends like smashed. I like everything about the new Civic except that damn too far forward A-Pillar.

Ok, back on topic.

i dont understand you guys. the car looks great and its fast. i think it looks great. i would finish it off with a more suddle spoiler tho, it would still be funtional with like a lip spoiler and i think would look better too.

I like the spoiler though. I was actully wondering what type of spoiler designs they would come up with. But I guess a wangan style wing wouldn't look bad either.

I think THIS Eclipse looks much better than the stock Eclipse, especially when moving:

The eclipse is too big and too bulbous, it needs some creased lines to give it some edge, I think it looks like an inflated Taurus. The styling enhancements done to this one improve it looks tremendously. However, I too would change the exhaust, it looks like a dog penis:

I like the engine. Pretty much everything else can DIAF.

Maybe with a better styled Front and Rear Bumper I'd like it better. Different wing and taillights as well.

it looks 10x better than the normal Eclipse but it is still very ugly. nice motor

the exterior and interior is crap though.

if you've sat in the new eclipse you'd see how the dash is this huge piece of hard plastic, a bunch of non-functional styling, seats that do not hold you at all and just plain cheap and nasty. exterior is about the same...

Personally I feel the eclipses have gone down hill since the second(or 3rd, not too proficient with DSMs) generation. 95-98 I believe. The GSX was just such a fast car with adequate tuning. There is a strip here local(in canada, yeah Im that for north) and they have these cars running low 11's and high 10's. They hook up and launch, no questions asked. But when they went with the 3rd Generation with the boat anchor of a V6 and limited to front wheel drive I lost all respect for them. At least they ditched the Grand Am styling with the ridges on the doors. But they took too much styling cues from the audi TT and the 350Z. Shame...

the current and previous gen eclipses were not sports cars, they were more 2 dr sedans like the Solar or Accord COupe. Same engine as Galant, same platform, same weight

I actually really like the look of it. The first thing I would change though would be the exhaust, I'm not liking the look of it for some reason. Other than that I think it's a very nice looking and preforming vehicle and wouldn't mind owning one any day.

the action pic above is sex...looks so muscular...looks kinda like a dtm audi tt...i always thought that imports lacked the muscular look of mustangs and such...but then again, the grass is always greener...im sure if i had a cut ass roush id desire the lean look of my s14...
