serious help needed w/ SR
ok, well my motor won't run well obviously, when i rev it, it acts like it won't rev, it will studder and won't go past a pretty low rpm, maybe 3k rpm, pretty sure it's not the MAF (z32) but im pretty sure it IS the TPS sensor, i just checked it, and it is now reading 5.26 on both the input and output power wires on the ECU, so i think this means it is bad?
also something weird is that i checked it before i started the car up, and it seemed somewhat normal except for WOT which was in the 5.2x range, but i was convinced that it is jumping in and out, so i started it up and tried to rev it, and it began to rev ok, but then it wouldn't rev right, then i turned the car off and checked it again, and i got the 5.26v on in and out power values... if this doesn't sound like the culprit then PLEASE help me out thanks...

If it's 2500rpm, it probably is your maf. Determine your rpm cut out to eliminate the maf.

how does the car run without the maf vs with the maf plugged up. the most common things to check is if your maf or maf wiring is good. in my situation the maf ground wire just needed regrounding.

it runs worse with it disconnected, that's why i think it isn't the MAFS, and the z32 ones dont seem to go out as easily as the stock ones... but i will check the rpm later when i get home

ok, so i reved it, and it would get up to 3k, so i assume that that means it isn't the MAFS, i also unplugged the mafs and it acted almost the exact same... so... any ideas?

are you running a SAFC or something to help the ECU read the Z32 maf? If not than maybe thats your problem. If not then try the TPS. Also it may be bad gas. I had a friend with that problem and it was that he let his car sit forever and the gas was bad.

Check for codes on the ECU.
Basics basics basics Also, IIRC, WOT should read higher than 4.1v, so that reading is fine. I'm with everyone else, sounds like a MAF issue. But check codes first and go from there. |

Nah, this sounds electrical again, try taking the car out to drive it, if the car will run for a minute then begins to bog, then this may be the alternator relay sensor, cause the system is not recieving the proper eletricity to the system to keep the engine going past a specific RPM range, in your case; 3K or so. .. .
I suggest you troubleshoot your wiring setup, make sure ALL plugs are correctly wired togetherand are not touching, if this isn't it then it may be

What's your timing set to? Is the CAS stabbed properly. Double check your wiring with the heavythrottle guide. Do you have a boost gauge? Is it reading boost at idle? Sorry I didn't respond to your PM. Been busy as hell.
Was this a spontaneous new problem or is this a new swap? |
